AimWell Financial provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management designed to bring the different parts of your financial life together. Our work includes retirement planning, tax planning, estate and legacy planning, behavioral finance, business-owner planning, charitable giving, education funding, insurance reviews, and guidance through major life transitions. Rather than treating each decision separately, we consider how investments, taxes, retirement, family priorities, business interests, and other financial decisions may affect one another.
When another professional’s expertise is needed, we can also coordinate with your CPA, attorney, insurance professional, or other specialist so you are not left trying to connect conflicting or disconnected advice on your own.
Yes. AimWell Financial is a fiduciary wealth management firm. As fiduciaries, we have a legal responsibility to act in our clients’ best interests.
For us, that responsibility also means helping clients understand the tradeoffs behind a recommendation, how different financial decisions connect, and what a particular strategy is intended to accomplish within the broader financial plan.
Yes. AimWell is fee-only, not fee-based. We are compensated by clients rather than through commissions from investment or insurance products. We do not have proprietary products, sales quotas, or company incentives, and we are not dually registered as a broker-dealer or licensed to sell insurance.
We believe the way an advisor is compensated matters because it helps clients understand where incentives and potential conflicts may exist.
Yes. AimWell is an independent advisory firm. We maintain the client relationship and remain responsible for financial planning and advice. RFG Advisory serves as AimWell’s platform partner, providing resources including compliance, technology, cybersecurity, operations, trading, and investment-management infrastructure.
That relationship gives AimWell access to broader institutional resources while allowing clients to work directly with the AimWell team as their primary point of contact.
AimWell works best with people who want a trusted partner in managing their financial lives. They value having a team who understands the bigger picture, pays attention to the details, helps them make important decisions, and follows through so things actually get done.
Some clients come to us because their financial lives have become genuinely complex. Others simply do not want managing their finances to feel like another job. They may be successful and financially organized but still feel overwhelmed by the number of decisions they are expected to make or unsure whether all the pieces are working together.
You do not need to arrive with a complicated financial situation or know exactly what kind of help you need. If you want thoughtful advice, ongoing support, and a team you can rely on to help keep your financial life moving in the right direction, AimWell may be a good fit.
AimWell may not be the right fit for someone who is primarily looking to outperform the market, speculate on short-term investment trends, or frequently change strategies based on market predictions. Our investment philosophy is grounded in evidence and time-tested principles rather than hot investments or the latest market trend.
We also may not be the best fit for someone primarily looking for the lowest-cost investment option or who does not see value in ongoing financial planning and advice. Our relationships are built around comprehensive planning, thoughtful decision-making, long-term perspective, and mutual trust.
Not at all. Retirement planning is an important part of our work, but AimWell works with clients through many stages of life. That includes people building wealth, managing increasingly complex financial decisions, navigating career changes or other major transitions, managing business interests, receiving an inheritance, selling a business, going through divorce, or planning for retirement.
Good financial planning is not reserved for the moment you stop working. It can be especially valuable while you still have time and flexibility to shape what comes next.
No. AimWell works with clients throughout Florida and across the country. Clients can meet with our team virtually or in person at our St. Petersburg and Tampa offices, depending on their preferences.
Some clients prefer virtual meetings even when they live locally. The goal is to use the meeting format that works best for you.
AimWell combines comprehensive financial planning and investment management with the personal attention of an independent, fee-only fiduciary firm. Instead of treating retirement, investments, taxes, estate and legacy planning, behavioral finance, and business-owner planning as separate problems, we consider how those decisions affect one another and help carry important decisions through implementation.
We also believe good advice is a team effort. AimWell combines the personal relationship and accountability of an independent firm with broader resources through RFG Advisory, while remaining the client’s primary point of contact.
And importantly, our planning considers not only what may work mathematically, but what a client can understand, trust, and realistically carry forward.
Behavioral finance is integrated into AimWell’s financial-planning process rather than treated as a separate service. Financial decisions are influenced by more than facts and numbers. Experiences, values, habits, biases, relationships, and emotional reactions can all affect how people save, spend, invest, and respond to uncertainty.
Chris Manzione, AimWell’s behavioral finance specialist, works with clients and the broader team to recognize what may be influencing a financial decision, explore potential roadblocks, improve conversations about money, and help clients make choices they can realistically follow through on.
The goal is not to eliminate emotion or expect perfect financial behavior. It is to understand the human influences behind a decision, consider them alongside the financial facts, and make more intentional choices over time.
AimWell provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management, including retirement planning, tax planning, estate and legacy planning, behavioral finance, business-owner planning, charitable giving, education funding, insurance reviews, and guidance through major life transitions. Rather than treating these as separate services, we look at how decisions in one area may affect the others.
When another professional’s expertise is needed, we can also work alongside your CPA, attorney, insurance professional, or other specialist to help keep the advice coordinated.
Not necessarily. The right relationship depends on the help you need and the scope of work we agree to provide.
That said, AimWell is generally best suited for clients who value having investment management and financial planning work together. Investment decisions can affect taxes, retirement income, cash flow, estate planning, and other areas of your financial life, so we believe there is meaningful value in considering those decisions as part of the broader financial plan.
Financial planning at AimWell is an ongoing process rather than a one-time delivery of a static plan. We start by understanding what you want your financial life to support, then identify the decisions, priorities, concerns, and areas that need deeper analysis.
From there, the planning process depends on your needs. We may gather and review financial information, analyze different options, coordinate investment and planning decisions, work with outside professionals, implement agreed-upon recommendations, and revisit the plan as your life changes.
You do not need to organize your entire financial life before we begin. We will help identify what information is needed and what comes next.
AimWell uses a team-based approach. Amy Powell leads client relationships and strategic advice, while Bill Comber supports financial planning and may lead planning-related meetings. Denver Porter helps coordinate scheduling and the client experience, and Lauren Simer assists with account service, paperwork, transfers, and custodian-related needs. Other specialists may join conversations when their experience is relevant.
You may hear from different members of the team depending on what you need, but you should not have to figure out whom to contact before reaching out.
Every ongoing client is expected to meet with AimWell at least once each year. Beyond that, the frequency of meetings, proactive calls, planning work, and other service depends on your needs and complexity.
You also do not need to wait for a scheduled review when something changes. If you are facing an important decision, life event, or financial question, or just want to chat, you can always contact us when those things arise.
The relationship does not stop between scheduled meetings. Depending on your engagement, the AimWell team may be monitoring investments, rebalancing portfolios, reviewing tax opportunities, updating projections, researching planning questions, coordinating with CPAs or attorneys, preparing recommendations, completing service requests, and tracking follow-up items.
When we need a decision, signature, document, or additional information from you, a member of the team will reach out to let you know.
Your investment assets are held with independent custodians rather than directly by AimWell. AimWell currently works with Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments. AimWell provides investment advice and portfolio management, while the custodian holds the assets, provides account statements, and gives you direct access to your accounts.
AimWell does not take custody of client assets. Keeping custody of your money separate from the advisor providing the investment advice helps preserve transparency and accountability.
We believe financial advice works better when the professionals involved understand how their work connects. AimWell can coordinate with your CPA, tax preparer, estate-planning attorney, insurance professional, or other specialists so you are not left trying to connect disconnected advice on your own.
Our role is not necessarily to replace those professionals. We help identify questions and planning opportunities, evaluate how their recommendations may affect the broader financial plan, and collaborate with the appropriate professionals before decisions are implemented.
AimWell is a fee-only financial advisory firm, which means our compensation comes directly from our clients rather than from commissions on investment products.
Depending on your needs and the services we provide, we may work together through an asset-based investment management fee, an ongoing financial planning retainer, or a one-time financial planning engagement. The appropriate structure and fee depend on the scope and complexity of the work involved.
We do not publish a one-size-fits-all fee schedule because our client relationships and planning needs vary. Before you decide to work with AimWell, we will clearly explain the services we are recommending, what they will cost, and how you will be charged so you can decide whether the relationship makes sense for you.
The first conversation is an opportunity to talk about what brought you to AimWell, what is on your mind, and what kind of help you may be looking for. You do not need to arrive with everything organized or know which service you need.
We will ask questions, learn more about your situation and priorities, and help determine whether AimWell may be a good fit and what a sensible next step could look like. There is no need to diagnose your own financial life before reaching out. Start with the question, decision, or change that is already on your mind.
You don’t need to know exactly what kind of help you need before reaching out. Tell us what’s on your mind, what you’d like help with, or what you want to feel more confident about. We’ll get to know you, answer your questions, and help determine whether working together makes sense.
